Hook’s Christmas in the Park is back for a second year on Sunday 6 December 2026, from 12 noon to 4pm, at Hartletts Park and the Community Centre. Hook Parish Council announced it on 2 October: “Whether you’re looking to start your Christmas shopping, enjoy some seasonal treats, or simply soak up the festive atmosphere, there will be something for everyone.” A few stall spaces were still free when it was announced.

What last year’s looked like

The first Christmas in the Park was on Sunday 7 December 2025, from 11am to 3pm, with free entry and free stalls. The parish council published the running order the day before:

Time (2025) What
11am Event opens
11.15am Festive flag competition winner raises the winning flag
11.30am and 12.30pm The Snow Queen and a festive friend: walkabout and songs
12 noon and 1pm Hook Eagle Morris
1.45pm and 2.30pm Christmas sing-along round the flagpole
3pm Event closes

There were small fairground rides from John Wall and Son, who also sold doughnuts and candyfloss. Food and drink came from Hartletts Café, Peppones street food and Berro Kitchen, and Hook and Odiham Rugby Club ran the bar. The council warned that some stalls were cash only, so bring both. (Hook Parish Council: 1 more sleep, entertainment, food and drink)

The council’s 2025 round-up also mentioned stalls selling Christmas trees. None of the 2025 line-up has been confirmed for this year. (Hook Parish Council, 26 November 2025)

Parking: the catch

Last year the Community Centre car park closed at 9pm the night before and stayed shut through the event, so there was no parking on site. The council asked people to walk where they could, and to use Crossways Manor car park, by the doctors’ surgery (RG27 9DU), which is pay and display, if they had to drive. A small number of Blue Badge spaces at Hartletts Park had to be booked in advance through amenities@hook.gov.uk or 01256 768687. (Hook Parish Council, parking at Christmas in the Park)

The council has not yet published 2026’s parking arrangements; we will add them when it does. Hart District Council’s Sunday tariff for its Hook car parks is £1.20 for up to 10 hours between 8am and 6pm. (Hart parking fees and charges 2026/27) Every Hart tariff is on our parking in Fleet page, and Fleet roadworks and travel lists works around Hook.
