Karsan Catering Ltd of 260 Oatsheaf Parade, Fleet Road is set to wind up voluntarily. Creditors meet on 17 August; claims are due by 4pm on 14 August.
Karsan Catering Ltd, a takeaway company registered at 260 Oatsheaf Parade on Fleet Road, is preparing to wind itself up. A notice published in The Gazette on 6 August calls a virtual meeting of the company’s creditors for 11:15am on Monday 17 August 2026, proposed by its director, Baran Bas, under section 100 of the Insolvency Act 1986. (The Gazette, notice 5186893)
A shareholders’ meeting will be held first to consider a resolution for voluntary winding up, with the creditors’ meeting following by telephone conference. The notice names Engin Faik of Cornerstone Business Recovery and Turnaround Limited, an Enfield insolvency practice, as qualified to act as liquidator, and says a list of the company’s creditors will be available for inspection at the firm’s office at 136 Hertford Road, Enfield on the two business days before the meeting. (The Gazette, notice 5186893)
The notice gives both the company’s registered office and its principal trading address as 260 Oatsheaf Parade, Fleet Road, GU51 4BX, on the parade near the Oat Sheaf junction. It does not name a trading style, and it does not say whether any food business at that address has stopped trading.
A short-lived company
Companies House records show Karsan Catering Ltd was incorporated on 14 November 2023, so it is winding up less than three years in. Its registered business classification is take-away food shops and mobile food stands. The register also shows an active proposal to strike the company off, and a confirmation statement that has been overdue since late November 2025. (Companies House, company 15284009)
A creditors’ voluntary liquidation is the route a company’s own shareholders take when it cannot pay its debts: rather than waiting for a court to wind it up, they resolve to close it, and a licensed insolvency practitioner then sells what the company owns and shares the proceeds among creditors in the legal order of priority.
What it means for you
If the company owes you money, whether you are a supplier, a former member of staff or anyone else, you need to lodge a written statement of your claim to vote at the meeting, and the notice says proofs must be delivered by 4pm on the business day before it, which is Friday 14 August. Queries go to Robyn Faik at Cornerstone on 020 3793 3338; the full contact details are in the notice.
If you worked for the company and are owed wages, holiday pay or redundancy, you can apply to the government’s Redundancy Payments Service once a liquidator is appointed and gives you the case reference; the official guidance is at gov.uk.
If you are a creditor who wants a say, the resolutions at the meeting may include who is appointed liquidator and how they are paid, and creditors can attend by proxy if they lodge it with the convener before the meeting. The Gazette notice sets out the rules in full.
